Sunday is the day most archers meet, and
Rivernook is no exception. In the summer you will usually find someone shooting from
about 9.30 am. In the Winter we start a little later - at about 10:30am
-
but early enough to shoot the Frostbite rounds. Tea and Bacon butties
are available.
During the Summer the Club meets late afternoon on Friday, and usually
shoots until dusk. In the winter (the first Friday in October) we move
to the indoor range at Quick's for the Friday Club night shoot, where we have
the use of the range from 6:00pm. To cover the cost of hiring
the range there is a small fee (approximately £4, depending on numbers).
This is payable in advance to the Club Secretary. However,
there is often the opportunity to pay on the night if spaces are
available. Some
members go for a drink and or a meal after the Friday sessions; all are
welcome.
We are in the enviable position of being able to leave the targets out
24-7. This means that members are able to shoot at anytime of day convenient
to them. The only time that we are unable to shoot is during the
week of Hampton Court
Flower Show, when the field is used for parking.
