Beginners

Rivernook Bowmen runs beginners' courses for anyone between the ages of 8 and 80 who are relatively fit and active. The courses consist of six hours' tuition, held at yours and the instructor's convenience - weather permitting!

The course is £40.00 (non-refundable) this fee covers:

1. Coaching by the Club's experienced Instructors in:

Range Control
Shooting Technique
Main Elements of Archery
Basic Archery Rules

2. Use of Club Equipment

3. Insurance covered by GNAS

Rivernook Archery Club's aim is to get beginners onto the shooting line by the end of the course, shooting safely alongside more experienced club members.

On successful completion of the course, beginners are awarded a signed certificate of achievement.

Should you wish to join Rivernook Bowmen, please contact the Club Secretary to arrange a time for you to come and shoot with us as our guest prior to joining. If you are completing a beginners' course with us, this will not be necessary. We'd like you to feel comfortable with us, the range and our facilities. We'd also like to meet you and see how you shoot. If you like us then please download and fill in the Membership Application form and submit it to us. All Memberships are subject to Committee approval (this is usually a formality).
